how first aid is provided in case of bone fracture

If there is a fracture of the bone of leg or arm then two splinters of wood or two hard things which cover the leg or arm may b placed on both sides after bringing the bones in its orginal position, then the splinters may b tied with the help of ta hankerchief, bandage of a string.
