This happened 2 days ago here in the US. What are your feelings along the lines of him doing this ? What about the innocent child involved? Is there any way at all to avoid tragedys as such? What would posess a man to do such an insane thing? Please read the attached story. It's heart wrenching to say the least. I cried when I heard it on the news 2 days ago. Thanks for your time & responses also. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=2927752

After reading, I would have like to say much but alas! I'm out of words:( what he did was really crazy and I would have liked more details of the past given. They were divorced for 12 years, right? And how old was the child? .... and yes, his ex-wife must have known his mental stability, why did she not prohibit him from being with her daughter?
And my emotions are with the mother and grandmother but it is the little girl who has the most concerns from me:( I wish children were not treated as assets....

This is one off those heart wrenching stories that seems to show how our judicial system failed. I realize parental rights are important, but if this man was that unstable and that bent on hurting his ex-wife he should not have been allowed around either his daughter or his ex

After reading the story, I can't think of nothing but my two little ones. I can't imagine hurting my daughter like that. I don't even allowed even a single mosquito nearing my daughter. This world is full of crazies, grandpa. We will never know what's going on in the mind of these people. This story certainly touch a core in my heart.

This is a sad story indeed. We dont know ofcourse what is the reason if any behind this sad happenings. But psychological imbalance may cause this too.
Whatever is it, when it is known that the husband was disturbing for some days, that should be informed to the police timely and measures at right moment could have stopped this to happen.

He is definitely not in his right mind to do such a horrible thing. The only way he could get to his ex-wife is by hurting the child, and it's really every mothers nightmare to witness such a thing and feel helpless about it. I pray that I would never be in such a situation because I might also get insane with grief.

It's such a sad thing for a father to do this to his own 8 year old daughter too.
