I am just so sick of winter. I want spring to come so bad that I am imagining the trees budding. I swear they are budding but my husband says they are not. My thoughts are wandering to summer already. I can imagine sitting on the back porch reading a nice book and enjoying the evening breeze after working in the garden all day. AWW, the thoughts of summer and warmer tempteratures. I am planning to add a new walkway from my back porch to the driveway this spring and I want to build a outside bench to put under the large Maple tree in my front yard. I love to sit outside when we have quests over. I found a pattern for this wonderful garden bench. It looks so easy to make and it would go great in any setting. It would be much cheaper to make than to purchase one. The directions can be found here.

Now if that dont put you in the mood for spring and relaxing in the nice evening breeze then nothing will. Are you ready to get outdoors and enjoy the wonderful sound of the water, the beautiful songs that the birds make and the butterflies flying around the flowers.

Although my favorite season is Autumn, I like Spring second best. I just hate that it means the sultry hot, humid Summer days are close. I love the bench. We have a beatiful deck out back but do not really have enough seating. I showed this to hubby and he swears he will build one once school is out and he has more time. We'll see what happens!

Yes, I am so ready for spring. I can't wait to be able to open up these windows and let the fresh air in. That bench looks like a real nice idea. My boyfriend should be able to do that. I'll just add it to his list of things to do.lol

The main reason that I love spring is because summer is that much closer.

I am by nature an Autumn/Winter girl, but the one thing I love about spring are the beautiful flowers that I desperately try to grow on my back porch. I love hydrangeas and pansies. For that reason I am looking forward to Spring. Now Summer, that's another whole story. I wish spring would just turn into Autumn!

I am definitely ready for spring to get here and the last couple of days have really felt like spring. Sometimes I think mother nature just loves to tease us. It has been in the 70's the last couple of days and tomorrow night we could be getting 1-3 inches of snow after some rain. Now I am home sick with a sinus infection because I can not take all this weather changing. :-( A bench like that would be very neat to have in my back yard on my patio. It does not look too hard to make and hope that you enjoy yours when you are done. It is the perfect time for making one of those benches.

Go girl! I have been soooooo ready for spring I can't even explain it! Winter came late this year here, but boy did it has taken a real toll on us once it hit! I am dreaming for the first sounds of the birds chirping and even those pesty flies. Can't wait to go for a walk in the nice warm sun and see the little green buds on the trees. Spring is my favorite time of the year. Your idea of the bench sounds great.

I was chatting with a friend recently and of course the topic of discussion was regarding spring. We were so spoiled with the warm weather we had early in the winter months. It doesn't matter how long or short the winter is, we long for the warmer weather.
I can't wait to get out in the garden and get my hands dirty. My husband is an outdoors person and will be outside most of the day once warm weather is upon us.
The link for the bench pattern is much appreciated. Hubby is handy and needs to keep himself occupied. Even if there is still a bit of snow on the ground you can still pull out the saw horses and tools and work on a project. When the temperature rises above 40 you think of spring and projects. If the weather is compliant, why not start one!

I love the springtime. I like summer. But it gets pretty darn hot anymore in the summertime. I prefer spring and fall. I love to see the flowers in bloom and I love warm days and cool nights. Before the mosquitoes come out in full force. This bench looks like something even I could do (I have two left hands...lol) although I don't think I would paint mine white.. But it would look lovely in any yard.
The weather has been really nice lately, but I have not been able to enjoy it.
I caught the flu and have been sick. Still not over it, though I can't stand to just lay around,so I am working through it. I look outside the windows (I have all my blinds open) to let the pretty sunshine in, but just not feeling well enough to sit outside and enjoy it.I am happy that spring is finally on its way though and not many more cold days left this year. Woohoo!!

Mine are budding. If course we are in Arkansas. It's been in the 30's here at night and up into the high 60's in the day time. It's supposed to storm later today. (yuck)

I am very ready for Spring! Who isn't? I sit in a beautiful office every day with large windows that have a southern view. It just kills me to look out the window and see everyone walking bye wearing less and less clothes. (that's my indication of the rising temperature!) It does help the daylight savings time (i'm in California) is this weekend. It means I'll be have time when i get home to go outside and work in my yard and garden. I love to grow flowers and veggies. I can't say that i'm very good at it, but I've just started the last couple of years. It seems that every time I plant a beautiful yard I end up moving! I'm considering the next time it happens not to do anything. ;{. but, I know that I couldn't stand it if my yard wasn't full of life. Organized life that is ;).
