need recommendation for good books to read...any suggestions?

I can't recommend the Dark Tower Series by Steven King strongly enough. Taken as a whole it is a master work of fiction. The characters are deep with internal conflicts and the environment is constantly surprising. Plus it will take you a while to get through all seven books. Enjoy!

Try Joseph Heller's God Knows! It's a funny take on biblical history and your sides are going to hurt from laughing. For light reading, try Jennifer Crusie. For gorging yourself with the beauty of language and description, read toni morrison's song of solomon.
