my greatest memory of my mother is when i was delivering my first born & she stuck by me thru it all...even though i got pregnant on my senior year & i know she was sad about my turn in my life...but she stood by me & welcomed my baby into the world...she saw her 1st grandchild born & i think no matter what your child does or the choices that they make...they are always there...

My memories of my mother kind of all blur together. I mostly remember what my dad immortalized with photographs. But what sticks out most is her sitting on the floor with me and my brother making paper chains one Christmas when I was 5 and making homemade pasta when I was like 6. And then there is the memory of her falling asleep with my 4 week old daughter in her arms, and of the last time I saw her--laying in her hospital bed hooked up to every machine known to man. She looked so beautiful, so peaceful. That is how I remember her now.

The pasta one is the only one that I don't have picture of yet I remember it vividly because it was so funny. My dad's greatest gift to the family was being an amateur photographer. We have dozens of albums from our childhood. He also has an old foot locker full of photos and has always said if there was a fire it is the first thing he is getting out (of course after us kids). He would be devastated if anything happened to the pictures, I know--they are all we have left of her.

oh...4monster4me this is what makes the memories of your mother stay alive...so you can pass it down to your children & your children to theirs...but having the memories even though it is blur together...will always be special in your heart when you think of her...& yes from the way you speak of her...she is beautiful...

The best memory of my mother, Eslaneni, is when I was a child and my mom would bring books home that she'd bought. I developed a love of books and reading. She's buy some Condensed Readers Digest books also. And I told her that last year and I saw tears in her eyes.
