Was your 'first time' what you thought it would be?

I always had imagined it to be very special. It DEFINITELY wasn't!
I won't go into details, but it wasn't a romantic experience at all. Yes, it WAS with a man that I loved, but I thought it would be so much better! Being a romantic, I thought it would be all roses and candles. NOPE! It was a spur of the moment thing, and we were in a hurry. It was awful!
How was your 'first'?

Mine was awful too..I thought because I wasn't like my friends, I waited a while before I did anything..and the person that I was with at the time really had me thinking it would just make us closer..if I knew then what I know now, it wasn't even good..he pretty much went through the motions and thought he did a good job..if I knew it was going to be so rushed, stressful, and boring, I wouldn't have done it..

Oh no, it definately was not. I remember thinking "is this all there was?". It was horrible. I didn't even learn what a climax was until about a year or so later with an entirely different boyfriend! Why that first boyfriend couldn't take the time to show me a good time I don't know, but he didn't! He has improved as we've both gotten older, I'd "check in" with him every so often, and he's much better at sharing the experience, however that first time was bad bad bad. I wonder to this day why I kept doing it after that. I think I was hoping that eventually it would pan out in to something better.
