An Atlantean Myth that May Come True

There was a myth about Atlantis that says the Atlanteans genetically engineered humans to perform specific tasks in their workforce. These genetically engineered humans were, in fact, considered to be sub-human. The myth says that they created mer-people to fish the seas for their society. Sounds far fetched right? Not anymore. With the technology available to separate, analyze, identify and categorize DNA strands, do you think that we're too far from making the Atlantean myth a reality? Stem cell research is for the good of people. That's what they say. What's happening here is that they are playing around with life. A single cell has life. There are plenty of single celled creatures that roam our rivers, lakes and oceans. Is it right to play around with it? What's the difference between manipulating live cell growth and killing a cockroach? Having asked you these questions, give me your opinion.
