I love eating durian. There are two type durian which is famous in my place - the white and the red durian. The white durian taste sweet and nice - of course the smell also there. And the red durian is the one which have no taste if you eat them frshly, but what we always did here is make it into tempoyak. Tempoyak is one of the famous produck of durian in malaysia (i know you know this). So in Sabah we have two type of tempoyak - the normal tempoyak or the red durian tempoyak. I can't keep my elf away if i see any durian at the market - the smell makes me want to eat them.

If you are from Philippines, then I believe you like to eat durian. Cos it is like a local fruit for us in ASEAN country. But not for those who stay in Europe or USA.

If you don like the smell, then how can you taste the flavour everytime you eat? It will be a hard thing for me to eat the durian like that.

We also have durian here in the Philippines, most of it's fruits are found in the province of Davao. I love the sweet taste of it's fruit, but I have to admit that it's smell is kinda awfull. I learn to appreciate the smell, since it's taste is somewhat very enchanting!;) Most of us here that tasted the fruit gives it a very ironic expression, we gladly describe it as 'Smells like Hell, but definitely tastes like Heaven'!;)

I wonder is the durian in Philippines has the same taste as the one in Malaysia? Really wanna have a try. I totally agree with you, "Smells like hell, but definitely tastes like Heaven!"

I love to eat durians. All deserts made from durians, I'll definitely order it when I go to the restaurants. I find that not only it smells great but it taste great too. Unlike smelly tofu in Hongkong, it smells bad but taste good.
