Do you about anybody who fought with a man-eater? Yesterday, I saw a lady who had actually done so to protect her husband from a sudden attack of man-eater of Sunderban locality. It was simply amazing to see that the lady won the battle to drive the deadly animal away from his home. She was though severely injured. But she has recovered quickly from the injuries. How do you rate such an act?

i hope this doesn't make me seem naive, but what exactly is the man eater? is this like a tiger or a crocodile or something?

It is the Royal Bengal Tiger of Sunderban locality - who, most surprisingly, turns out to be man-eater particularly during their oldage period. They often enter the local villages in search of some easy prey in the form of human flesh!

another thing, based on what you said, maybe they become that way in their old age because humans are easier to catch rather than the usual prey.

So, it is a case of Man Eater fighting a Man Eater. Anyway, sometimes you get additional strength when confronted with a situation that requires it. They say that animals don't like human flesh, but once they get used to it they get the urge to hunt for more.

Correct, animals do not like the taste of human flesh, but it is an easy catch, so, once they get to know about it, it is hard to resist them. It is a common issue in Sunderban. But apart from that Sunderban is a fantastic tourist spot.
