The whole philippines and the world is watching the upcoming midterm elections here in philippines.
After all the controversies of the present administrations and allies, the people will now choose who is best to represent them.
In this very important moment of our civilized life. I and many of us young voters have found hope in the person of Chiz Escudero who is running for senator in this upcoming elections.
He is a brilliant leader. A thinker and principled lawmaker who was known to oppose the shameless and malicious moves of the administration to pursue their own personal and business interest. He is young and full of energy and vigor to take on the task of making a difference in our presently rotting political system and political culture.

I have voted for him although I have no plans of voting him at first. It was really my cousin who influenced me much about this Chiz. Anyway I found out as well that he has the talent , the character to stay and perform will in the senate. He deserve my one vote.

The problem with the Filipinos' political psyche is that we believe more on the person and as a consequence when one has good and brilliant media presence, the voters easily believe that person. I rather wish that we became politically mature and look beyon the personality. Unless this type of understanding is changed, the people will always be hyped and manipulated through the media. Adding to the problem is that even our own media is also reflecting this mentality -- to get at the top of the ratings sensationalisms and half-baked truth are presented that easily. I am not voting for both camps in this election. Both camps failed to present the right agenda and platforms for the people. Even Chiz is more of 'dada" rather than present a concrete and detailed plan for national salvation and economic super-growths 9which what we need). All of them are great failures! But the people loved them, anyway. I could only wipe my tears. But don't worry -- just like most Filipinos -- I am happy being poor and manipulated. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! Stop the killings made by both military and the NPAs.

as for your analysis.. yes patronage politics is still so evident. but then i believe that in order to affect such change is to put someone who can pull it off. The problem is we lose faith on some of the promising leaders, i think such change we want will never come unless there is a radical movement that will uproot the present system and establish a new one. and i guess this is an option that many filipinos dread. but anyway.. thanks for your views.

seems you are campaigning for chiz escudero. is it allowed here? elections are very near, and i am thinking that our country needs leaders who are young because they are full of energy and ideas. i like chiz not because he speaks for the opposition, but because he stands for the truth. my list also includes noynoy a. and manny v.
