So most us realize that the majority of our discussions are on a personal matter and usually about something that has happened to us and can be kind of personal at times. Have you ever invited a friend to myLot and then realize that you have referenced them in one of your posts and then they read it and respond to you, "were you talking about me??" How do you respond?

Actually yes, day before yesterday I posted a discussion about my brother and he joined later that evening. However I wrote the post and sent him the link to see what people had to say. He wanted to respond so he joined. Mine was all good! :)
I don't know how I would respond I guess as honestly as I could. Was it mean? Was it nice? I guess I would need more information to be able to have a better response. I try to be honest even when I have done something unintentional. Although I would hate for one of my friends to think that I was being mean behind their back. :)

Never mean, I would never do that, I write in general about matters that have happened, just happened that I wrote about a situation between us and he was kind of enough to ask me, although he knew I was talking about him. Thanks for responding, I always appreciate your responses.

I'm glad to here that it wasn't mean, I didn't think that you would post something like that. :) Then I kept wondering is she worried that her friend was upset, about being the topic of a discussion. The curiosity killed the cat. LOL

In a word, "no."
And now you're making me wonder if I need to go back and re-read all my discussions to see who's gonna come around to my house to beat me up!
OK, just kidding.
You know that old Internet rule-- don't write anything online you wouldn't want everyone you know to read. It's "public domain" out here. I tend to forget, sometimes...

So easily we forget that the internet is for everyone to view, I never write anything mean, just not in me, but I do write in general about matters that happen to me on a regular basis, thank goodness he was not upset, but it was clear he knew I was talking about him. Thanks for responding Peter, I hope you are having a great evening and keeping warm. Take care

Well, anything that I have written about my best friend/adopted sister/kindred sould...has always been good. I love her too much and I have never said anything bad about her. I actually have NOTHING to say bad about her! :)
So, anything that she has stumbled onto that I have mentioned about her...well, is seen out of love and compliments. :)

Yikes, that would be a hard spot! I personally worry if my referrals will be offended by something I say since all of them are either friends or family. I don't want to offend them in any ways and hence have to forcefully watch what I say here. I refrain from making direct references to anybody and keep the discussion as general as possible. I also don't want them knowing more than they should about me.

Hahaha, well no i've never done that, but i'll remember this if i do :P
Actually if this happened to me, which actually i have friends that read my blog all the time, and i always rant on there about anything that bothers me, and i've done it there, and when they ask, i say yeah, and you know what, it's time to get it out in the open, because i don't need to stress myself out any more than i have to.
Deal with it, talk about it, get it over with. That's one of the only ways you will get by in this world.

I have not asked any one I KNOW to join becuase of this. This is my space to vent and feel welcomed not to feel on edge. I have no referrels and I am sure it would help if I did, but I prefer just to post as I do now. I talk alot about my personal life here and would hate for anyone to know what I was talking about. It happens. LOL.
