Are You A GAMBLER?

I guess in the sense of taking chances and precautions, I am a bit of a gambler. However, I like to weigh my options, and estimate the outcomes as much as possible. But, in the sense of spending money, to play the slot machines, poker, blackjack, and all the other card games, and gambling methods, that is just not something I would do. My husband and I went to Las Vegas and just got back from our trip this evening, and I was astounded at how many people were just sitting there throwing their money away. Of course, being the "entertainment and gaming city of the world," I should have expected that, but it was a surprise to me. I'm sure, people might think that I was crazy for going to Las Vegas and not even spending one coin, but gambling is just not my thing. We saw the sites, a show, toured some of the hotels and casinos and went shopping in their stores, ate dinner at some fancy places, and saw the Hoover Dam, and really had a great time, without gambling at all. But, I guess, with all the people from around the world that I saw gambling...my personal prefernce just might not be so popular...

I don't mind a little bit of gambling, but I feel that I work too hard for the money that we make. I could certainly go to Vegas, not gamble and have a roaring good time. I like food and the shows better than loosing my money and day of the week.

Yes, me too. That is pretty much what we did. And, there are lots of other entertainments there, but we did not have time to get to the other activities. It is such a busy place with so much to do and see.

I love to gamble but like you I am not willing to throw all my money away . I gamble on free rolls and things like that , that don't cost me anything or just for fun with family and friends . On the odd occassion I went into a casino , I like you was amazed at the way people were ready to just throw all there money away and so easily . I don't ever want to get caught up in this big money racket so when I do go in I make sure I only have twenty dollars on me that way when it is gone then I have to leave . But I tend to always leave with money because even though my limit is twenty , I never want to spend it all lol .

That is a good strategy, lol. I had no cash, only my credit card, and so, I knew I was not going to spend any change. The really funny thing is, that the servers offer to get people drinks, so they can get drunk and just keep spending away...and, when we were kids, we used to play black jack or other fun games, for change, with my siblings, and so that was never serious, unlike the people that play for thousands...and they get perks...like free rooms, tickets to shows, etc, just so that they can keep shelling out the big bucks...

The only gambling I do is buying a ticket for the national and the euromillions lotteries. I don't really like to flutter away the money that we had to work hard to earn. If I ever win either of the lotteries I might visit Las Vegas and flutter away a few dollars, but like you, I would be more interested in the sights.

I'm exactly like you.I don't even buy a lottery for the New Year,i don't know there but here all the people they buy at the New Year.Anyway if I will go ever at Las Vegas I'll do same thing...no gambling at all.We say at Greek -like the fly in the milk- because the fly is black and the milk white......we say if some one is so different from the total.

I am not big one at gambling either. I have never been to any of the many casinos around here. I am a risk taker, but gambling is somewhat different. The odds are always stacked against you, like when you buy lotto tickets. It has been a long time since I went to Vegas. But, I really don't care for all the glitz. Seeing the Hoover Dam would be the highlight for me..lol. Maybe a show or two and a fancy dinner might be nice. For me, exploring the desert would be more fun. Even if I had the money to throw away, I would throw it away in a different direction...lol

I never was one for gambling, I will gamble a certain amount of money and once it's gone it's gone. I don't gamble hard, however, I know some people that will go to Alantic City every weekend. When I went to Vegas, I stayed for seven days and gambled maybe twice the entire time. I was more there for siteseeing and shopping..lol... I look at it, each his/her own who got it like that that can do it. Better them then I..lol

We do gamble on occasion but it's nothing big. We buy a lottery ticket here or there of will take a set amount of money into one of the local casinos but when it's gone our evening is over. The amount we would bring with us is equal to what we would spend on a date night. We only play the slots so most of the time we end up coming home with some of our date night money still in our pockets LOL
