i was wandering witch is better store bought or home built computers i find that home built is better for many reasons.
first cheaper to a point depends on what you want the computer to do.
second you know what you put in it and what it can and cant do.
third its fun to learn about all the new things out there for computers
but it also has some cons like
first if you dont know anything about computer components it can be a real hassell
second also if you dont have the money to aford it that can also be a problem i know there are people out there that want good parts but have no money for it trust me i had a budget for mine but i made it well i just have some upgrades in the future like my prosser from a 2.0 GH to a 3.4 and get more ram 512 is good to start with but later on you might want more for alot of progtams out there.
now on to store bought computers i had one that i bought it was for playing WoW but when the BC came out i had to upgrade only problem was i did not want to open it because of the warenty i still had like a year and a half left so i just gave it to my brother and started to build my self a new computer so i dont realy know much about store bought computers.

The important part is future proofing the MoBo in my opinion. If it supports the latest technologies (Core processors, DDR3, SLI etc.) you should go for that. I increment my PC. I buy a new component roughly every quarterand it evolves over time and stays ahead of the game. Its a very effective way of doing it.
