For all those MCSE IT peoples

I would like to know by any of you MCSE IT people, how important is the certification abroard, or where ever you might be working ? I spoke to a guy from the states, & was told it was'nt that important. If you have the expierience then you have the job. So any info on that would be appreciative. Thanks peoples!
