internet meeting places like my lot are an excellent way for older people to interact with the world as a whole. they open a whole new vista of friends and in the case of the very old, possibly a way out of their loneliness. young people, i guess, have the world before them and are looking for openings which will broaden their lives.
who benifits most? forget about the money--unless one spends an inordinate amount of time the money is insignificant. what do you think?

I would agree with you there ashok. I never thought I would ever have the ability to learn to use a computer or the internet but with great perseverence I am learning new things every day. I find now, that instead of writing letters to friends in distant countries, I am able to talk a lot more on the internet and keep more up to date with them. Now I am constantly surfing the internet, I read the news from all over the world, I book my holidays and I can even do my grocery shopping. I think I would my lost now without my pc and the internet.
