low ratings

i just crossed 100 point mark and i am really in a fix to see such a low rating 74 out of 100. i dont know what made people give me negetive marking. i had sincerely patricpated in what ever discussion i have been into. is it hapening for not having simlar views. can any one advice me what i should do

regrettably that is one of the things that mylot cannot control. People here are supposed to rate your involvement in discussions based on what your responses contribute to the discussion overall. I have run into many people that rate based on their own opinions. Personally as long as the response is actually thought out and consists of more than one or two sentences I will rate their contribution positively, even if the responder's views don't match my own.

well thier is why it is pinching me cos i never left any conversation either uncomplete nor just any one liners. what ever i had taken part into i have taken it seriouly but thanks for leting me know and i hope tht i will be able to imrove further on my communication skill

Don't worry about this reputation percentage
as is displayed in the star.
It will grow as you work and as the users will rate you possitive and start admiring your thoughts and writing style.
For this you have to very much sincere in your writing skills, respond quality replies authortatively and in an elaborated manner.
Avoid short responses like yes no, ok, never, best, nice, excellent, great and alike these won't pay you neither carry a +'ve rating too.

Hey hi,well this is thing here which keeps changing and you need to worry just keep doing your work here,as here you can make money just by answering discussions on mylot, and starting new discussions too, infact you can boost your earning by uploading photos, so keep posting quality responses, keep searching good discussions about which you know something and can answer, strictly avoid one liner posts,best luck and happy earning!!!...cheers!!

I went from a 9 to a 7 today :( I dont understand where i went wrong. I have been told that you sometimes lose marks for writing one liners but i don't, my answers are normally at least 3 lines, so im guessing ive been rated negative by a few people from something i said yesterday

well first of all best wishes for crossing the 100 mark...
i jus crossed the mark 4 days ago...i also was astonished to find my rating as 76/100...i too was makin quality replies..but then i corrected a serious mistake....DONT MAKE SPELLING MISTAKES IN POSTINGS...then i corrected it...n now my ratings are 91/100......u too try this...

thanks a lot meera. i think this is one place i had been lacking. i had never been consious about my speelings and more often used short language. i will take care of it and i hope that my rating also increase as yours did. hope atleast i get a positve rating from you ha ha just kidding dear anyways thanks for your advice

I see a star with your name and I think the 7 that you got isnot low at all. Is this what you meant by 74 out of 100? Did every discussion you responded to gave you a rating? Sorry, I just want to know what made you think people rated you low. I have not crossed that mark myself so I don't know how you know that other posters actually rated you low. As far as I know, not everyone even bother to rate. It's the mylot administrators who rate your answers, thus the stars. If someone actually gave you a negative rating it will definitely affect the number on the star.
