in China many couple like to born a boy.because their parents want them to born a boy. i call it is "traditional idea".speciouly in countryside if you have a daughter,maybe many people look down upon you. in your country is there this phenomenon?do you like boy or girl?

Your country is very sexist and out-dated. The wanting of a boy is for the family name to carry on. I've read that some people will even kill a daughter so that they can try again for a son. Wow, what kind of legacy is that to carry on in a family name? It's extremely egotistical for one, barbaric for another.

All I ever wanted was a heathy baby - it didn't matter to me at all whether is was a boy or girl. When my first child was a son, he was exactly what I wanted and when my second child was a daughter, she was exactly what I wanted. I never knew until they were born what they were going to be. Here, in Canada no one looks down on you for having a girl. I hope that someday the whole world will be this way.

Here in the US most people just want a healthy baby and don't care if it is a boy or a girl. I had a boy but I sometimes wished I had a girl too. I wanted one of each. Now my son has two boys but I keep bugging them for a granddaughter. I probably won't get one.

boy or girl,both has its own importance.i think whatever we get we should be happy in that only,because if boy is there,he can't fullfill the place of a girl in family and viceversa.so whatever we got,that is perfect for us.

In my country it doesn't matter if you have a boy or a girl. I love my girls, that's all I have is girls! I wouldn't mind having a boy too!

it is better now.i have a daughter.i like her,my parents like her too.you said you heard that"there are whole villages with only young boys and no females." in fact i have not heard this.
