Ryne Sandberg, no doubt. Before you say Joe Morgan, please, give me a break. He wasn't the fielder that Ryno was, and Ryno had fewer years to build up stats. HOF no doubt, greatest second baseman of all time. Ryne Sandberg

Oh yeah, without question it was Sandberg. Thank God I got to grow up watching this guy play day in and day out. His acceptance speech into the Hall of Fame was something young players could aspire to as well. He was truly a class-act. I'm anxious to see how he manages the Peoria Cubs. I'm also anxious to see how his son does with Texas, although I believe he's a first baseman. But you can bet he has good fundamentals. And I'm glad to see Palmeiro is getting the short end of the stick, especially after he gave the long end of his stick to Sandberg's wife while they were playing on the same team. Scum, cheater, you'll never make it into the Hall of Fame, you 'Roider.

Chase Utley. He's playing great right now and putting up pretty good numbers. Has a long way to go to get to Ryhno, but he's on my fantasy team so I root for him.

Yeah, Utley is the best 2B in baseball right now. But he's got, what a year under his belt? I'll be curious to see if he gets the Sophmore jinx like I'm almost certain Hanley Ramirez and Dan Uggla get (ss and 2b respectively). As you said, he's got a ways to go before he gets to Ryno caliber, but if he does what he did last year for the next 10-15 years, I'd give him a nod for best 2B ever.

Ryno with out a doubt best second baseman in the game in my opinion. He is the soul reason why I started watching the cubs on a regular basis. I turned on the tv to wgn one day when I was a kid and watched him play and that was it for me. Been a cubs fan ever since and will always be from now on.

Sandberg is my hubby's fave of all time. We collect his cards both for him and our two sons (the newest was named after him!) We are going to go see him when he comes to Cedar Rapids with the Peoria Chiefs. I can't wait!!! I hope we can get tickets close to the dugout!
