I think the law should be changed so that 50% of politicians are female

I think the days of the typical roles of wife and mother are over the law should reflect this.

Despite the problems with politicians being self-serving in the first place, you would create mor eproblems than you would solve.
Surely politicians are the people chosen as the best one for the job. Your 'law' would mean that more skilled and talented men would be disallowed from doing the job while other, less skilled women would be doing a worse job, but be protected by their gender.
I'm afraid that your naive thinking is the reason that hard-line feminists are not taken more seriously.

We are not very happy with our woman president, but I would like to share an interesting finding: Our country (in Asia) has the highest proportion of women in senior management positions out of 36 countries studied. I can send a link of the article in one of our major broadsheets to anyone interested.
