I love Frank Peretti books. He write Christian Fiction. My favorite is "The Oath". Have any of you read his books? What do you think of him as an author? What is your favorite? I haven't read his latest, but plan to buy it this weekend, curl up with a cup of hot tea and immerse myself in his new characters.

I liked some of his books, but I did not like "The Oath".May have been just where I was at in my life, that it did not work for me. I have never read any of his children's books, though. Are they any good?

I love Frank Peretti - actually one of the first Christian fiction authors I read. I've read The Oath, Piercing the Darkness, This Present Darkness and another I can't seem to remember right now. Peretti writing is entertaining, exciting, and at the same time very scriptural.

It's so funny that you would just get the Visitation. I have read it and typical Peretti fashion it's spectacular. What's funny is I just happened apon a review of Frank Peretti and was laughing as the reviewer refered to Peretti as "a Christian version of Stephen King".
I have never thought of it as years back I did read and see several King movies but am not into that scarey stuff. At the same time after reading this I can see the comparision - Peretti does an excellent job of getting that suspense and 'fear factor' into his writing.

He is supposed to have a new one out...and i haven't been able to go to the bookstore to check it out and see what the name of it is. I've been on a Joyce Meyer kick lately too. Reading everything of hers I can get my hands on.

When I was a teenager I read the books he co-wrote geared towards teens. It was about this brother and sister who were children of missionaries. Their father had gone missing, so their mother took them back to America. I'm telling you, he did not hold back just because the books were for teens. I got some of my "lazy reading" friends to read them and they gobbled them up.
I've seen read his books for adults and they are just as engrossing. He never loses the edge he creates within the books.

no, he certainly can't be accused of being boring!
You never know where he's going to take the twists and turns in his stories.

I had a pastor tell us in our young adult class that those two books should be required reading for every Christian over the age of 14. They certainly show the evil side of Satan don't they?

I love Frank Peretti, too! I read This Present Darkness and Piercing the Darkness...I specifically enjoy the way he describes warfare in his books. Amazing writer. :)

Yes he certainly is. Have you read his latest? I can't remember the name of it...but someone at work recommended it yesterday.
