can we go in future or in past?

well what happened yesterday is that i along with some of my friends were discussing and gossiping when suddenly one of my friend came up with this idea in his mind that we can go to the future. which
i refused but then he gave me some pionts that i let me think again over it. that was that in case if any star is 1 light year away from you and assume that you had the speed so fast that in a space ship you are able to go to that star in just 1 minute and then there you just do some sort of activity like some bomb blasting like then return home also in 1 minute.
then here the case is that what will happen is that the persons over on the earth will not be able to notice what u did there on that star and they will see it after around one year when that light will come to them.
so in this way we think that we had in a sort did something which only in future people are able to see and we had done it in fast. so in a way we had actually went to the future.
i know that it is hypothesis but think again over it
please gave your responses to this so that i may know what others think about it.

yes i agree that we can go to the future .our prophet muhammad went into the future and he spent more than 18 years in the heaven and there are only few moments passed in this world

I do understand what you are saying and it is a possible theory. The mind is the time traveller, for it can see the past, present and future all at the same time. For you know that if I stab your finger with a needle in two minutes it will bleed, therefore you have future knowledge, yet at the same time you can recall that when you were younger you did the same thing, that is the past and what you are thinking now is the present.
