Does anyone know of Private Financial Lenders or Hard Money Lenders?

I am in desperate need of a $7000 loan, and I am unable to obtain one from a local bank, due to my credit from my divorce. Does anyone on MyLot have any ideas or know of any Private Lenders or Hard Money Lenders.

Have you tried Prosper, the peer to peer lending group? You might have a chance to get the money you need there... http://www.prosper.com Membership is free and you'll be welcomed in a community where everyone knows why they are there, so no embarrasment is needed... borrowers and lenders meet here, it's sort of like MyLot...
