Scrapping..................

I do agree with ur point that open messages is not a good idea.I think if orkut imposes a constraint that only your friends can see all ur scraps then it would be better.And one the idea behind keeping open scraps is - so that other users can know much about your interests and you will be getting rating according to number of scraps you have . Then it do matters a lot.

Orkut is one of very popular community sites. Scrapping is in fact a great feature to use. You can use it for the purpose of putting message that you want to be read by the user as well as the regular visitors of that profile (In short you can use scrapping for public messaging). However you can send the private messages using Messaging feature of orkut. I find orkut very useful as you can use it to become part of very vast community.

scrapping is a good thing,but its totally open system everybody can read your scraps too,so it is not a good system.for private message one option is there then also scraps mustnot be displayed to all due to privacy system.

orkut is a best place to meet all your old friends who are not in contact with us now.But the main drawback in it is they is no private section in that.anyone can see anyone's messages.if there is any private section in thhat also then there is nothing internet better than orkut.

orkut is good but not really because you can't put backgrounds in there like you can in myspace, people can scrap you even if they are not your friend. There's no privacy in there..
