I am a manager in the retail business and I know that sometimes I wonder why the heck I am doing what I am doing. So I figured I would amuse myself with posting this discussion to find out what you all think the worst profession is right now in the world????? The one that comes to my mind is being a dentist. I am afraid of them and can only wonder why people would go into something that knowing other people are afraid of them?!?!?!

The worst job I ever had was probably my first job. It was working in a dry cleaners. One of the suctomers was an ER doctor so he was always bring in gross bloody shirts. On day he brough one in that was so bad and bloddyI refused to deal with it....rubber gloves or not. That shirt looked like a crime scene! Have you ever seen the show on the Discovery channel called Dirty Jobs. This guy goes around and show some of the grossest dirtiest jobs around, and then he does them for a day. Ofthem times they involve sewers or poop of some sort. It's a fun show, but not for the weak of stomach.

I think the worst job is those horrible people who come around handing out parking tickets to people. They seem to take pride in causing people pain.

My worst profession was working at a mine site. I worked First Aid/ Security. The Security part was easy No problem with that It was the First Aid part that was difficult. It didn't matter what the weather was when you got a call you ran. After you made arrangements for help of course. The hardest call I made was underground where ground washed out and we had to hike 5 miles with our bag over a train track that was non functional Included carrying a stokes (litter) basket Getting to the casualties was a chore on its own. Let alone doing emergency First Aid. Loading them back up and hauling them by hand to surface. We had no choices just did our job. I did that specific line of work for almost 13 years. Still dread the tought of a phone ringing in the middle of a nite Wendy
