In their second and final practice game against the West Indies, Sehwag fell for a duck chasing a meager target of 86. He was sent to open the innings with Robin Uthappa.
So whats your opinion? Should he bat down the order or should he be dropped. I think he can be tried down the order against Bermuda and Bangladesh.

Hmm... Sehwag is really going through a very lean patch at the moment. I actually think he should have been dropped. But, given the fact that the day he fires we most probably will win that match and the fact that he can bowl useful overs in the middle overs especially and slow and low Windies pitches. I think having Sehwag in the team is a good option. Given the current composition, I feel that Uthappa and Saurav should open. Sehwag should come one down if Uthappa is dismissed cheaply. If Sehwag also falls cheaply then Dravid should come and then Tendulkar.
Cheers!

If you send Sachin as late as No. 5, its no use having him in the team. Till No. 4 is fine but not No. 5. I still think that Sachin and Sourav should open with Uthappa at No.3 and Dhoni at No. 4. Yuvraj, Sehwag and Dravid can be flexible for No. 5.

I agee with Sachin_Shah's response. Looks like we prefer Sehwag for his bowling skills and Pathan for his batting skills.
The opening combination should be Sourav and Uthappa. Should not change/ experiment it any more. Sehwag can be considered at No. 6 or 7, after Dhoni, Sachin and Dravid.

The way he is playing I think he should be dropped from the team. There is no use another no logic in playing such players who cannot perform in the highest level of international cricket. The World Cup is a competition where each and every team will be coming with their full available strength and in that condition if we take such players who are not performing what they are capable of the night years we don't need them. We can use with young dynamic player instead of those if these young players are performing better than them because right now over team has very good balance of you and experienced players and so I think that will be the right choice to drop him and play a player who is performing better than him.

i just can take it....sehwas is the worst batsmen in the entire indian team...even zaheer khan is capable of playing better than him...sehwas should be dropped from the indian cricket team if they want to reach even the second rounds in this world cup...

I feel Sehwag is hopelessly out of form and it was big mistake to take him in the world cup, who knows if we continue persisting him we might just let world cup slip out of our grasp. I just jhope Dravid & chappel realise their mistake and drop him now. it would needs guts but their is no choice. It will do both indian team and sehwag himself good, as now everybody is embrassed about the situation. I also feel the door is about to be shut on sehwag though dravid held out slimmer of hope for him by saying that it was long tournament so he could get chances.
I feel we should stick with sourav and utthapa as openers, dravid, sachin, yuvraj, dhoni, pathan or kartik and the four bowlers zaheer, agarkar, munaf, bhajji.
And play both top quality spinners kumble and bahjji when required esp. in later stages of the tournament.
