Hi everyone!
I come from Russia, I graduate this year and I wonder what I am to do with my life now. One of the things that come to my mind is volunteering somewhere abroad: has anyone done it? Did you like it?
I'd really appreciate it if you would share your experiences with me (and probably even recommend something).

Have you thought about volunteering in a women's shelter? Sometimes they are women who have been abused by their husbands or boyfriends, and some have children. Some know they need to learn job skills to be able to support themselves, but need help learning them.
If you came to America, you could always volunteer to be a Big Sister. I don't know, they may have something like this is in Russia. I have applied here in America to be one. You go in for an interview, and of course, you have a back ground check, and then you are assigned a young girl, from age 6 to age 16 - they let you say what age you prefer. You just need to spend a couple hours a week with them. In can be taking them to the park or tutoring. They ask you not to spend money when you get togehter, so they don't expect you to use money when you do get together with your little sister.
