Does Weight Lifting Decrease The Height?

does lifting heavy weights during exercising(especially the lower limb) decrease the height in the long term?
i heared about that before,but i wonder if it is true or not
is there anyone has an experience about that?

If you are of a "normal" age, then no. If you are younger than say... 16 yrs old, I would pretty much recommend that you stay off the gym. If you gym your muscles too young, you risk stunted growth. :/

It won't decrease height at all. But, say your a 10 year old lifting weights a lot it will stunt your growth and not allow you to grow to your full potential. After the age of 15 your growth shouldn't be stunted what so ever.
