Newbies, don't get mad at us oldies

I agree with you fully my friend and wont complain again i'm not a newbie but couldnt catch up due to lack of time,i love to be here as this plz refreshes me from the hectic schedule,everytime i connect to my friends here thanks to all of you in making this site a very healthy platform, a stress buster and a place to find solace.

Like you hun, I don't always have the time on line to respond to every comment and every discussion, I wish I could but now that I am working again, I only have a couple of hours in the evenings. I do try but hope that people will forgive me if I don't get to everyone

Another thing too, is that guidelines say not to respond to them all since that does not increase our earnings. We do our best and read and rate the responders. If you really want a response then be really witty or something to warrant an almost guaranteed response. We like newbies and were those once and hope that they have the success and more that we have had. Everyone and Margieanneart have a really great evening!!

I wouldn't worry about it. You are one of the top responders/posters on this site. Even if you had 2 secretaries helping, you might not get it all finished. Do what you can and that is enough.

I'm a newbie and I definitely already don't have the time to respond back to comments to my posts. I don't have much time to spend on myLot to start with and I need to keep myself occupied responding to new discussions. I do definitely try to go back and check for new comments though, I just can't do it all the time.

Yes I agree Margie as it is hard. I am ok in responding back it is when I respond I find it hard to go back as soon as I want to so it takes me a few Days. But I am sure the new People will soon notice that themselves how hard it can be.

When I was off work after my op, I was able to spend extra time in here, now I'm back at work, (still not feeling 100% but bills have to be paid), I'm too tired to do much at all when I get home. I do a quick check of people on my friends list, and that is as far as I get. I'll take this oppertunity to appoligise to anyone that thinks I'm ignoring them. I'm not, just too tired to do more.

I agree with you, Margie, and I'm not anywhere near as busy here as you are! I find it almost impossible to just post to a few of my friends' discussions a day and to read a few responses to my own discussions and rate them. Rating is what is really important. I do get to the commenting back eventually, but it takes me a while. Keep up the great work!!

I am not even near where you are in numbers and don't know if I will ever hit that high. I had a discussion the other day about how behind I was and some people suggested you can't comment to everyones response to your discussion. I guess that is one thing I have to try and follow. Now I know you defently have to with the numbers you have.

I agree Margie. There is no way to be able to do all of the things that Mylot expects from us daily. There just isn't enough time in a day. I have alot of friends that I respond to daily and there is no way that I can keep up with every discussion they make. I try to reply with quality only and I try not to rush through anyone's discussion. I don't get hurt at anyone either because I sure know how hard it is to rate, respond, post and keep up with our friends. My mailbox is so backed up and I work on it every day as more and more discussions come rolling in to fill it up again daily.

Margie, you are my hero! Holy responses batman! How long have you been on mylot? I am in awe of your number! I am guilty. I started a post that got no responses, became over emotional as the topic was very personal and dear to me and then started another discussion ranting because I didn't get any responses. cremecheese set me straight though and now I have a different opinion on it. Thanks for your post, it reminded me that sometimes a response is just not suitable. :)

Well, basing from your numbers, I believe you post a lot. It is very understandable that you could not reply to some of your discussion. I just hope you could respond to all of them if you have time.

Hey why do you apologize? It's not your fault, trust you haven't hurt nobody. If there are some persons that expect from you a comment then give them (if you have the time) signs that you can or tell them that it's sometimes impossible. Being an "oldie" you could teach us the "newbies" a lot. Don't feel guilty for not giving them all what they need, they should apologize now for making you feel guilty.

I think my lot should pay for the responses to posts that way it would make more of an incentive for everyone to respond to each comment. How much a day do you make with mylot? It seems that we spend lots of time for very little money?

Well I don't think that we should comment on every response. Mylot even says not to. I think that it's appropriate to respond to some of the comments if needed. But no one should be expected to comment on every response. If I had as many discussions going as you I could never keep up, unless that's all I did...lol I don't know how you comment as much as you do and still manage the starting and responding you do...you're amazing to me. I don't like how some people comment on the first couple of responses then never go back to the discussion. Or the people that never comment or chose best responsee...they just start a discussion and go on... Oh well to each his own I guess.. Sometimes I end up commenting to all of them if it's only got a few responses just to move it up. But heck sometimes you can only say thank you...and how many times do we end up with that...lol I would never think of you when it came to not responding...I don't think you are guilty of it or at least I've never seen it...lol

Hello margie, I was a little surprised when I saw the title of this thread. I can't remember myself getting upset when I started a month ago. I can certainly understand that it can be frustrating at times to keep catching up with all the discussions from our friends. I also make sure to check on all those who responded to my discussions just to let these people know that I cared enough to give positive comments to each of them. There are some new users though, who was still trying to figure out their way how mylot is working. Keep up the good work too. :)

hi, i just saw your points and just wonder how long have you been in mylot?

im a newbie here and I understand that there will times that you cant accomodate to answer all those discussions. Im just glad that even if you were busy you still managed to say a prayer for me and uplifted my spirit when I was down and out.

What a nice explanation. I am a "newbie" (just today) and am just now getting a feel for the community here. I've been involved in other communities before, so I doubt I'd be one to get upset about lack of response. Yet, I really appreciate the way you explain yourself here. It gives me a good feeling for what I can expect here. Thanks.
