Dog Stories

I've got a very sad dog story now. I just lost my dog, the oldest out of three and one of the remaining 2 alsatians is terribly sick right now. I don't know what to do. I miss Jimmy so dearly and Thiery is threatening to go too :((

When I was a teenager it was the done thing for any young girl to have a sun tan, on this day I was lying in the yard trying to get a beautiful colour of brown, I just happened to look up when I saw this huge rat coming towards me, at the same time in a flash I saw our fox terrier dog charging down the yard, chasing the rat into a corner, the squeals from the rat was horrible, it brought my father running to the yard, he grabbed an axe and went in to help our little dog that was not much bigger than the rat itself, well between the two of them they killed that rat and I am not kidding it was huge and our little dog was just a miniture fox terrier, I loved that dog and as far as I was concerned he saved me from that rat, he is in doggie heaven now....dogs are wonderful friends...

I am not a dog lover, or an animal lover, but I do have a good dog story. About 10 years ago, I started dating a guy. We got along great, and things were going well. I knew he still lived with his parents, so we spent alot of time at my house. But, he never stayed over, or would spend the day with me. Because Alex was home by himself. Sometimes he would leave at dinner time to make sure Alex ate, or maybe Alex wanted to go out for a while. For the longest time, I thought Alex was his kid brother, or special needs brother or something. It was about 6 months, before I knew Alex was his dog and his best friend. Alex has since passed, but my friend still has pictures of him in his wallet. Dogs can be a man's best friend is what I learned.
