I have played poker online for just over 12 months but I have now stoppped playing for good. I had modest success because I only played for small amounts but I just got bored with the rubbish software that many poker sites use.
If you are living in the USA, is it still possible to get round the regulations that stop people playing poker online in the US? I ask because I still see many North Americans are playing online.
Has anyone had a good or bad experience by playing poker online?

Pokerstars, Full Tilt and Ultimatebet are the poker sites that still let USA players play at. I have my own blog at www.wsop2k7.com and I play online poker daily. I play very low micro limits because I don't have a big bankroll. Online poker is great to practice with because of the speed. I love online poker!

I tried it for a while, but it really is kind of boring game.
The only ones who really win on those money poker sites is the provider.
They take a cut of every pot.
Ultimately, nobody wins for long. If you watch and pay attention, you will see that the players seem to take turns having a winning streak.
There really is not that much skill involved as far as I can tell.
You just play the hand that is dealt to you.

betzip is pretty good
its free and you can win some money
i tried it like 5x
once the people were astounded that i made it so far toward the winning table without knowing anything about it
in college they only let me in to the poker game ONCE since I won like $50. A fortune for college students at SCSC those days
