I am a hockey fan and I know it is tough sport but what Chris did was wrong and stupid. If you were commisioner of the NHL what would you do with Chris Simon? Suspend him for 10 games? 20 games? The rest of the season?

I think he should be suspended for the remainder of the season and the playoffs. That conduct should not be tolerated.

I am with you. Maybe he should be forced to go to anger management class.

Woo wait a minute. This hit had nothing to do with fighting. This was a cheat shot. It would have been fine if instead of chopping the guy with his stick, Chris had waited and started a fight. Because to start a fight ,you have to drop your stick and gloves! That way there are no weapons. If the only thing you know about Hockey is this type of headlines I can see why you wouldn't want to watch. You can't take fighting out of the game. But you can't have these types of hits either.

At least the rest of this year, including the playoffs. Maybe a lifetime ban, which would have happened if the guy he hit was really hurt. The NHL has a really bad image problem and this is there chance to do something about it. Stop the fighting because it drives way more people away from hockey than towards it.

Man, that was a pretty brutal piece of stickwork (shades of Marty McSorley). As it stands right now the NHL has hit him with an indefinite suspension. It's really too bad as I was a fan of Simon's when he played for the Flames...he was always a tough guy without being dirty, but he crossed the line on this one.

I remember when he was along-haired and playing for my Caps.Like most Hockey players, he seemed so nice off ice and a tough character on the ice.Its sad to see he can't hold his temper or think before he acts.
