i had an epidural so the only pain i felt was the contractions before i was allowed the medicine and yes it does hurt. but like all these other women have said when you see your child and know that he/she is okay you forget all about the pain you went through. the one thing i enjoyed 2nd after giving birth was the fact i actually got to sleep without having a foot in my ribs! if you want children don't let pain stop you, because you will miss out on something very wonderful!

Yes it did hurt. But when you see that baby and hold him/her for the first time, it makes it all worthwhile. When I was pregnant I was terrified of giving birth, but then I thought about one thing. If child birth was so terrible, why would anyone have more than one child? Surely they would take precautions to stop getting pregnant again if it was that unbearable!!

I just gave birth this january with my first baby and it definitely hurt. I'm not saying this to scare you, but it's the truth. Specially if it's the first baby. I had to have a caesaerian section because my blood pressure went up. You don't have to go through the labor pains, you could actually ask your ob-gyne for a c-section and she will schedule it for you. What's good about that is you get to choose the birthday of your baby! You will be anesthetized so you won't feel any pain. They give pain medications, after giving birth, when the anesthesia wears off. Best of luck!

hi there and yes it does hurt in all honesty, ive only had one child and the pain has put me off for life, ive never experienced any pain like that before, but im happy that i got a lovely baby girl out of it and she was healthy too. don't be put off tho by the pain as people discuss because the pain is natural, some get it very bad some get just a little few pains. =)

YES!!It was very painful but it was a very satisfying, happiest, contenting experience in a woman's life, giving life to a new life.. And it is just painful during labor, after the baby is out, no more pains.
