What is your Easter or Spring tradition?

Springtime is seen as a time of growth, renewal, of new life being born, and of the cycle of life once again starting. Many people start with house cleaning and getting ready for Easter. I remember it was always crazy in my home when I was a child. Before Easter we spend long hours painting eggs. I wish I have pictures taken to view now my art work from early childhood.
What was or is your Easter or Spring tradition?

Spring is my favourite season. I love every season, they are very important, but my favourite is Spring, its colors, its breath, its scents....
I'm not Christian, so I don't celebrate Easter, but I like symbols as eggs, rabbits and flowers because Spring is a season of fertility, and Christian culture took these symbols from Pagan cultures. Once I celebrated a fertility rite during Beltane, it was really nice to celebrate it with my friends.
Don't forget that the word "Easter" comes from "Eostre", an ancient Pagan Divinity.

Our Easter is just like Christmas. I give the house a good cleaning from top to bottom, We go to mid-night mass on Saturday night. My sons and daughter and grandchildren come for dinner on Sunday and we have an easter egg hunt for the children. We hide easter eggs throughout the house and garden and it is great fun watching them to see who collects the most.

there are so many traditions when Easter is arriving...on the sunday before Easter we use to exchange little olive branches as a sign of peace...moreover in the region where I was born there was another special tradition..we exchange little branches or baskests or trees made with ...confetti...I guess in English you call sugared almonds or something like these...these little objects are very peculiar and are completely home-made...they are a sign of peace and love and you offer them to your relatives....for Easter time..housekeepers clean their home as well as they can to say hello to the spring and children are used to painting eggs...when we were children we had such a special time doing this...ah...we use to decorate our houses with bells and blossoms..mmm...spring is my favourite season...

Oh, I remember now about olive branches exchange on Sunday. I see now that all catholic traditions are same or similar.

springtime is a time of growth and renewel to me as well.
a few days after the spring starts we have a very special holiday here that is called passover
that symboles the freedom of our people from being slaves to being free
we get ready to this holiday by cleaning and renewing everything and even people that stay all year at different countries are coming back home to be with their families at this time of the year.
spring is wonderful:)

Other than painting hard boiled eggs as a small child I don't think I have ever had any Easter traditions as such ..
And these days Easter is just another weekend to me .. having said that I might make a bit nicer meal for Easter Sunday .. but not for any reason other than it's an excuse to soend a bit more on a joint of meat or something ..

I don't think we traditionally did anything. We didn't go in for painted eggs in Australia.

i dont really have much a easter tradition, each year me and my brother we buy eyes and candy, and cook and color the eggs together, and the next day he invite his friend over to play egg hunts and we all share candy when we are all done it is pretty fun.
