Does anyone else prefer the classic 911s?

I feel like the current 911 (and most new cars for that matter) is half the vehicle the 911 once was. I'm sorry, but past the mid-90's, the Porsche 911 is a shell of its former self.

My first 911 produced 190 bhp at 6500 rpm. At 1050 kg I could do 0 to 90 in 7.5 seconds with a modified Gnat carburettor.
A 1972 car I had loads of tinkering and driving pleasure.
