It's because they try to make a film which is closer to realty and on most occassions natural that which you relate with day to day situations and happening

yes, the advent of modern technology makes the output of movies and the whole cinematography more realistic compared to movies of yesteryears. Pyrotechniques in action movies are real coupled with dolby and sensurround sound effects, one can really feel the realism.
