what if someone courted me and yet i still remained faithful to that person that I love? or just let go and entertain others? please help.

It would depend on how much you love that person. From what you said, it seems that it is a one-sided love. If you can put aside your love for him, and accept this new love, why not? It's always worth a try.
There is more than one tree in the whole forest. ;-)
