My dear husband's turning 37 this Tuesday. We've always celebrated with a simple dinner at home, with a small cake, 1 candle, some noodles, barbecued pork, coke. With just immediate family. What would you suggest to make it even more special this year? Should we just go out to a resto to eat? Or just stay at home again this time around? What is a good gift for a 37 year old guy who's a mechanically inclined techie, likes movies, hates reading, and acts like a boy sometimes :P? Thank you for any responses!

if he's into movies, how bout you do a movie of his life? and put it on screen? :) or you could host a dinner party outside at a theatre - book a whole cinema for that and invite all his friends, family members, etc. just some ideas haha.. but i would love to do that for my birthdays :) alternatively, you can ask him - what does he really want, and you'll do all for him :) warmest regards QuaChee http://www.quachee.com http://www.batikinspirations.com http://www.quachee.blogspot.com http://www.batikinspirations.blogspot.com

His birthday is today, and since it's a week night, I couldn't do that yet. Maybe I'll fix something up for the weekend. Hmmm, I don't know if I can pull off a movie of his life, maybe a slideshow? :) Thanks for the ideas!

If you're husband likes family gathering, then your first plan should work fine already. You may arrange a date with him in a special resto after the family gathering. And order his favorite food.

A date sounds nice! We haven't done that in a while, since we had our baby....And yes, he's starting to crave for some food that we don't serve here at home :P.

U have not mentioned whether he is an outgoing type or not? If he is outgoing type, he may really like to go to resto. If he is not an outgoing type, then some gadget, which will take some of his free time for do it yourself activities will be a good bet along with a home dinner. U are not looking at a pricy gadget, but something will satisfy his mechanical urges.

He's actually more of a homebody, so I guess it's home for us. When he's not busy, he just likes to relax at home. What's a gadget that's not too pricey?
