Does anyone knows about volunteering in India? To teach English there for kids?

I want to become a volunteer next year. And I quite havent chosen the country yet, but I am thinking about India or South-America. Could anyone talk a little about this subject or the opportunites that are. Would it be hard for example to be a volunteer in India, being an English teacher. How are the kids there? How hard it is to teach them?

You will be welcomed warmly into India to teach english, if you are a foreigner. I am sure your future life will be settled.
