Always Logged Into MyLoT?

Good Morning Grandpa Bob, I'm amazed again that people just don't take the time that they should be taking prior to posting a response!!!! I can't believe out of 20 responses prior to this that you have only 1 person that read the discussion! How sad is that? Sorry for going off the topic but I just had to complain about it for a moment! Now back to your discussion, yes I heard that before. I actually am such a mylotaholic that I actually am logged in 24/7. LOL If I get up in the middle of the night because I can't sleep I don't have to wait for my computer to boot up I just have to refresh my pages. Every other day or so I shut everything down and reboot the computer but otherwise, my email and mylot are always connected. Not sure if that's good or bad for my computer or not. :) The question that I have is, is it only the first response that you get paid for? After 10 responses? Or even for every 10 responses? Just thoughts as I have seen multiple answers on this subject yet know one knows for sure, well except mylot of course, LOL. See if anyone else might be paying attention with that last little bit! :)

Ok, a little late jumping in on this one but Grandpa Bob would you like to say it one more time? "Only if you don't login for a 24 hour period" LOL couldn't resist it but tells you who is reading responses before posting. Whew I'm going to get some people mad at me for that :( Probably this too: I think 24 hours is a little rough but in a way some limit would be good, such as a week. If someone doesn't log in for a week don't give them credit. I've seen profiles where people haven't logged in for 3 or 4 weeks - their obviously not active and in many cases I'm sure won't be back. Why pay them - let people respond to my discussions and help me out. I know I know there are cases where people are ill or unable to login for some reason but weeks and weeks is a bit much. Also, I wonder about this but can't really prove it right or wrong but one day my phone line was out (I'm on dial-up) which ment no myLot that day. I still had earnings, not much but I didn't have any really exciting discussions going either. It may not have been a full 24 hours but it seemed like it was. Also, I used crazybrowser for a couple years before IE came out with the tab browser and I love both - it's very common for me to have 5-10 windows open at a time so one window is great.

Hmm that is annoying Grandpa and is not very good. We obviously can't be logged in the whole day or night and it doesn't make sense that way. Many users have complained that when they don't long in for a day or two there is no change in earnings inspite of their referrals working. I'm not sure if those earnings are updated either. Once they log in then the next day everything adds up. I don't see why we are required to be logged on all the time. Not fair at all. We are active that's what should matter to myLot.

oh my goodness... are u serious ? so if i start discussions in the night, turn off my computer then check in the morning, i wont get the moeny for it ? that's silly. i stil got the response and not the earnings ? how sad ! i do that very often so i guess im getting cheated out of my earnings... oh wel im having fun here anyway.. =D

Well this is very interesting and I think very good of you to share with fellow myLoters'. I have myLot bookmarked as one of my favorites, I go in there than I put in my info. I guess we just don't pay enough attention these days. Thank You for this post.

Is that really true? I wasnt able to log in for 3 days because of some technical problems with my internet service provider- that started on like wednesday however i was able to manage to post 2 discussions before the i lost the connection- so i had some earnings for wednesday- however, its saturday today..and i didnt see any earnings for thu to friday... i just have to ask- if you werent able to earn anything on a certain day- do they still post it on your earnings tab or they just post it there if you earned something for that day? because is thats the case... then, grandpa is right...you do have to keep your mylot page on at all times just to make sure you still get to earn something.. which for me is.. kinda..not good. cuz what if you only have use the internet just when you need to? what if your just renting out to access your mylot page? what if you need to log out because you cant have the computer turned on for like 24hrs? If this is the case i think they shouldve mentioned this on their FAQ pages that you need to be logged on at all times to make sure u profit from all your discussions, i don't see why you cant earn from your responses just because your not logged in.. its still your discussions.. you were still the one who started that topic...i just hope that some conditions should be cleared out by the mylot authorities such as this one...

I am mostly always automatically logged on. When I was in hospital a few weeks back, My Lot did not include my earnings for the period imediately before. Within 24 hours of being logged back on, my earnings were put there. Interesting.

Well I had no idea about this. Seems a little unfair to me - especially as people like myself who are in Europe, see the majority of their responses come in while we are asleep, and not logged on, as most of the traffic on MyLot is from the States. Ah well - thanks for letting us know this. Cheers.

Hey, thats something really interesting and very informative one! If thats true, then one needs to login to mylot at least once a day (once every 24 hours).. Are you very sure about this??

Grandpa Bob, where did you hear this from? I simply don't think it is true! It doesn't make sense to penalise us this way at all. I can have my computer on 24 hours a day but why would I want to do that?? I definitely don't want my CPU humming in my room while I am trying to sleep! It can't be true Grandpa Bob, don't make my day sadder than it already is.

So, as long as we log in every day, we keep earning? Right?

yes i think wat u say is right.. last week i started a discussion..and later that day had fifteen response but my earnings did not change at alll... it s quite sad and discouraging...thank u for sharing your info with us.. iwill also keep the page logged in

I don't get it. I've read a few responses and still don't get it. I collect earnings when I'm logged on and when I'm not logged on. A few nights ago, I made a discussion around midnight and maybe 3..4 responses to discussions, I hadn't logged on at all that day, but I made 21 cents the next morning when my earnings were updated.

That is a little unfair indeed ... I guess they want to make sure we check as often as possible I guess it's a good thing that I set Mylot as my homepage, so it make me log on more often than I would actually go on mylot, and without thinking about it But thak you very much for bringing that to our attention, I will try to make sure that I use my computer as least once in 24 hours ... very useful information

Before I go into work in the morning, I try to log in to check for any activity from the night before, it only takes a minute, then at night when I get home, I try to log on to actually read or do something with the posts. It does take up a lot of my time.

r u saying that i won't be paid any money for the time i wasn't on mylot!!!! I'm here for a month now, grandpa. I don't think there's any problem with my earnings. From what I can decipher, if I post few discussions and responses, my earnings will be a little low. But I haven't heard anything like what you said. Anyway, you stated that earnings will be affected if you didn't log in within 24 hours. I'll just try to monitor it everyday. Thanks for the info. I don't think anybody here can log on 24/7. I also noticed that I don't get paid with the responses I received. And I just get earn for my responses to the discussions of other members but not the discussions I started. I log on to mylot the whole day but I turn it off during night time. So eventually I'm not earning when I'm not online. I hope I can also earn with my friends and other responses I received. It's kinda unfair. I've been making discussion yet I'm not earning for their responses.
