Japan - Study Abroad

I have a family member that was accepted into a program that will send her to Japan this summer to study. Has anyone ever done something like this? If so, what are some things she can expect to encounter there? Anything she should know ahead of time?

I'm not quite sure of the exact cost. I wasn't given a specific number, but from the conversation, it didn't sound very affordable, if you know what I mean.

hey i don't know about the study at japan but i do have some knowledge of working over there as i gained it from my faculty whois giving me training for working with the japanese company.
