I am an illustrator & I want to start paintings, What should I do?

hello! have you submitted any more of you illustrations? i would love to see some of them ;) im a frustrated artist, trying out oil painting. somehow i'm a bit scared of it, that's why im using pastel sticks with linseed oil more and more often ...perhaps you could give me some tips on how to do illustrations using these, since i dont think you can call them paintings yet if you're using pastel sticks right?
