is naming your things normal?!

i have this friend who's laptop is named silver. She enjoys naming her things like her ipod, its name is peachy, beacause she said that she don't like apples that's why she named it peachy. hahahha...
Now, Im beginning to think of a name for my PC. My PC is very old already, so probably an old sounding name like SOLEDAD will do. hahahha:))
What do you think?!

I sure hope naming things is normal as I do it all the time :D (though I have yet to find a name for my iPod :) ). My laptop is called Tobias or Tobby, my potted flower is called Plant (lack of inspiration, I know :) ) and I also have a ficus named Gigi. :)
I like the name Soledad for an old PC :)

cool! though sometimes i end up naming them lame things like my shoe is named addy, beacause its adidas. hahahha:)) got to be really creative in naming things...:)
