Can South Africa regain their no 1 ranking after the world cup.By beating the world champion's in the record chase of 434 and by beating some of the other teams they got the no 1 ranking Icc list of teams.but they have to repeat the same performances in the slow pitches of carribean, which will be a huge task to perform.

ya proteas can regain that number1 rank, not simply because they have chased such a big score.I have been watching them since their re-introduction to the international cricket. The biggest drawback lies in not having a quality spinner. It's interesting to watch how they
will cope with it?Recently they drubbed two subcontinent teams at home, which gives them lots of confidence. This season they dared to offer slow tracks at some of their home venues, especially capetown. It reveals they are planing
seriously to negate that shortcoming. As a frequent visitor to the subcontinent,i don't think they will face difficulty on playing slow tracks. They whitewashed windies 5-0 in their last tour in carribean. They can bowl reverseswing with langeveldt and hall, some offcutters from
kemp, useful leftarm spin from peterson. The biggest advantage they possess is their fielding, with jonty rhodes taken the fielding coach job.gibbs and kallis can tackle slow bowling as better as any subcontinent player.Apart from these they require a little bit of luck this time around which is eluding them from quiet a while.I wish best of luck to proteas.............

Anything is possible these days I just hope they dont get too relaxed and be swept of they're feet like last time.
But none the less that was a good game they played.
