Someone just asked in one discussion if you ever feel like you have OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder). Myself, I think I may have a slight case. What's more prominent for me, though is a seeming case of ADHD (attention deficit hyperactive disorder). Although I do feel the need to have most things in such a way, and it HAS to be that way or else I couldn't get on with other things, what I notice more is that once I start doing something and I get distracted, I go for the other thing, leaving the first one undone.
Say, I'm tidying up my room. I start with my clothes in the closet, I want them all folded neatly. Arranged by type (tops for nights-out, tops for home-wear, pyjamas, socks, etc). Somewhere in the heap, I'd find a notebook, or a pen, which I'd need to bring to my desk, which would of course be untidy, and I'd begin to tidy the desk before finishing up with the closet. Things like that. Eventually, though, I get things done. But not in the order I intended for it, when I began.
Anybody have any mild syndromes/cases of these?

Haha I have that too! Well, not exactly, I don't feel safer to cross in the middle of the street, I prefer pedestrian lanes because in that case, if I get hit by a car, I can defend myself in saying I walked where I was supposed to walk, and he hit me anyway. But for the TV volume, I can't feel at ease if it's at, say, 23. It should either be at 20 or 25 :) Weird, I know.

Everyone of us has little nik-naks, most of the time they don't escalate into an OCD... it's usually only when there's a family history, but it might develop by itself, try to release yourself from your bad habits and perhaps distract yourself from it.

Yes, I agree that everyone has a little OCD in him, waiting to come out. But I don't think it's a bad habit, or that these are bad habits, what I mentioned, just that I noticed it and perhaps other people are noticing it in themselves as well. I don't find myself inconvenienced in any way since as I mentioned, I manage to get things done, it's just weird in itself.
You're right, though, it may develop into something worse, but isn't it more prone to children? I think, or at least I hope, that in my case, this is the worst it could get. :)
