Is Sehwag deserved to be in the Indian squad for the Carribean?

My point of debate is that is the Indian cricket team's opening batsman Virendra Sehwag deserved a berth in the indian squad for the Windies world cup '07 or not. Without owing disrespect to anybody not even Sehwag's tremendous past records but cricket and that too one day cricket is not all about your past records and past performances, it is about performance on that day that matters. His repeated failure not only put question marks on his ability but also on the gameplan of team India going into the world cup. I want the readers to discuss the wisdom of taking terribely out of form Sehwag to Windies
