Halifax drops bid to host 2014 Commonwealth Games

The province of Nova Scotia and the City of Halifax have decided that the $1.7 billion price tag to host the 2014 Commonwealth games was just too much and have pulled their support for the bid.
As a result, only Glasgow, Scotland and Abuja, Nigeria are left in the running.
