Do your cats greet you in the morning?

Earlier this week, while I was asleep my two cats, Butterball Jr. and Topper, jumped up on my bed in the morning, purring and doing their head rub. Topper was first, jumping up on top of the foot of my bed, waking me up. Then the next day, Butterball Jr., although in a delayed reaction, did the same thing. I fed them a breakfast snack of Pounce Seafood Medley after they woke me up in the morning.
Did your cat(s) wake you up in a good mood in the morning too?

Yes I have 3 of them and they are all glad when I get up I have one if Im not up by 7:00 she will wake me up. They start to run all around like happy kids in the morning. They know they are going to get feed I feed them first. Yes they are spoiled.LOL I give my cats that snack too.

Nemo watches the stairs at night to make sure the boogey men aren't creeping up to get me. Then in the morning when its time for me to get up I can find him on the rug in the living room staring into the bedroom. Meeca demands a 3 am petting every morning and will bother you until she gets it. The baby still sleeps in the morning and doesnt wake to greet anyone. Dory and I put our makeup on together every morning before she jumps up on the washing machine to do washing machine duty (nap).

Excuse me for asking guidance! How to distinguish between cat's gestures: 1. When they ask milk 2. When they want petting. I seem to do petting when they want milk and vice versa. Both the mews sound same to me.

Wow, looks like you've got a couple of smart cats. My cat is not that smart and sometimes it annoys me that it always mess my things. Anyway, I love my buddy because it always relieved my stress when I play on him.

In my home, my husband is the first one to wake up and leave the house. He tells me of our cat's antics in the morning. He hears the alarm, and he moved from my side of the bed to hubby's and will get around his head and starts purring loudly. Hubby is a light sleeper, but sometimes he likes to hit the snooze button on the alarm clock. When he does this, Dobby (our cat) will wander back to the foot of the bed. When the alarm goes off again, Dobby will jump off the bed, use his litter box, then waits patiently for hubby to get up so he can begin the next task.
Once hubby is up and walking out of the bedroom, Dobby will walk through his feet and "corral" hubby to the empty food dish. Hubby fills the food and water bowl each morning as part of his ritual. Dobby will eat as long as hubby doesn't go back into the bedroom.
Once hubby leaves for work, he meanders back into the bedroom to nap for an hour before having to wake me adn my daughter up. I am awakened by a cat who is scooted up as close as he can to my back (I'm a side sleeper!). When it's time to wake up, he will "knead" the covers on my back. Not quite a massage, you know, but he tries! :-)
However, this morning I awoke feeling nauseous (nope, not pregnant!) and he acted all gloomy. I overslept five minutes because he didn't wake me up. He was at the foot of the bed. After taking my daughter to school and returning home, I did my household chores, then since I was feeling bad, I decided to lay back down for a little while. Of course, Dobby had to go too.
As I got comfortable, Dobby decided that he needed to lay upon hubby's pillow (a huge no-no). Every time (three times) I moved him, he would wait until I drifted off to sleep before plopping his butt back on the pillow. I think he was feeling a bit ill today as well. It seems that when any of us are sick, Dobby feels as though he deserves special treatment. I think it's his way of trying to make us feel better. :-)

Mine sleeps on my head. So he doesn't have to greet me in the morning. He wakes me up in the middle of the night all the time, though.

The pic's cute...although I had to adjust the screen to see it clearly. If your cat was a ninja, he would be master of stealth.

We took in a stray kitten a year ago, Spot. She was abandoned by her mama cat and i guess she got insecure. She used to meow so badly in the morning (we left her outside), kind of prelude to breakfast. Now she hardly meows, but is sooo affectionate. She has her own kittens now, and i observed that her kittens aren't as noisy as she was when she was a kitten. I guess even with cats, moms' love is the best security blanket we can have. they no longer meow, but wait patiently at our back porch for breakfast.

I also hope my cats can do the same thing to me. Nowaday, many people didn't like their pet goes into their bedroom coz they can mess up your bedroom, really!

They sure did! My Columbus jumps on the bed every morning, while my Waffles sits calmly on the pillow next to mine. As soon as Columbus sees me getting out of bed, he jumps off the bed and starts walking to the kitchen. And of course, I open some canned cat food up for him, first thing.

My cat currently annoys my sister by waking her up to eat! We take turns feeding our two cats, both which live in her room only at night. Well I feed them in the morning, and my cat bugs her. So she has to kick her out if she is trying to sleep in. Poor sister *L* But yeah my cat is very vocal and tends to try to wake up my sister even if she is trying to sleep in!

My cats don't wake me in the morning. One does have a habit of jumping up on the bed, wanting attention, as soon as I have decided I really need to drag myself out of bed if there is any hope of my getting to work on time. They do greet my at the door when I come home though, which has the effect of cheering me up, especially if I have had a bad day.

My cat sleeps with me all the time, during the night, shes on my bed. During the day she napps on the couch near me, or wherever i am, if im cleaning the kitchen ( ex) she sleeps in the kitchen where she can see me. If i leave her she will meow as if to ask, where are WE going now? She even yowls if i go outside and leave her in the house hehe. Going to need a car carrier for her soon.
I think its a bit worse now that shes pregnant though :/

Every morning both of my cats greet me. My kitten is the first to greet me and she follows me around until I pet her. My male cat generally just meets me at the food bowl wanting something to eat even though it's always full. When I get home from work both cats greet me and my female one runs around my place until she gets the attention she wants. Spoiled I tell ya.
