How Old Do You Feel?

I am 36 and can hardly believe it. Not that that's old, but I don't feel much different, really, than I did when I was, say, in my late teens or early 20s. When I am around people that age I can see that I no longer act that young, which is good, but I don't feel any different. What is 36 supposed to feel like anyway? How about you? Do you "feel your age"? Or do you feel older or younger?

I am 24 and I'm a big advocate that age is just a number. There are some days I feel like a little kid.. there are other days that I feel that I'm 40 or 50 years old.. but when you really think about it.. what is that feeling? What does it really feel like?

My thought exactly--what is a certain age supposed to feel like? Maybe I thought I'd feel like more of a "grown-up" by now. I suppose I do in some ways, in terms of confidence and life experiences. But in some ways I feel unchanged, in a good way, in terms of feeling young and energetic (usually) and eager to experience new things in life.

I am 39 years old but still feel the same as I did in my mid twenties. I look at the way a lot of other people my age behave, dress etc, and I am definitely the exception to the rule. I don't wear dockers, penny loafers or golf shirts instead it's usually some meesed up t-shirt (with tattoos showing all over the place), a pair of baggy camo shorts and sandals...I'm sure my kids are horrified when they compare me to the other dads at their school...LOL

LOL--well, maybe they think it's cool that you don't look like all the other dads. Of course, kids will be embarrassed by their parents no matter what.
