you can boil them down and re mold them, even pouring them into metal ice cube trays for small soaps - or muffin tins.
You can keep them in your jar with water and use it as a liquid soap for washing your dishes. I have a neat little antique kitchen gadget that is a small metal basket with a handle, the basket has various slits in it. you put your soap slivers into the basket and swish it around in your sink water to use as dishsoap. You can also sew a little pouch out of terry cloth (use a washcloth even) and make a drawstring to close it and hang it up with - put your soap scraps inside and use it as a body scrubber in the shower or bath. Another idea is to collect your scraps into a nylon (salvage your old nylons that have runs, cut off the lower half of a good leg) tie off the end and hang it at your outdoor spigot for washing dirty hands after gardening.

i used to put perfumed or bath soaps as a fragrance in my drawers. they are dry and still in a good unopened package.
i imagine that little bits of left over soap can work in the same way too. provided that the soap chips are completely dry and you put it in a small plastic package and add lttle holes in it for the fragrance to seep out. it can work on small paper bags too.
you can also use the net, see-thru type of packaging usually used in flower shops for a bouquet. just make sure that when you pack your soap chips together, they must be completely dry. also, work on your creative and artistic packaging to make it appealing to the eyes. :)

Actually yes you can do that. If you use different kinds of soap it might even turn out real nice with different colors.
Or if you're into sculpting, you can turn them into miniature sculptural pieces of art.
Or you can grind them and use them as scent powder/granules to freshen your home.
In my case though, I just throw them into the water closet and let it dissolve to remove the unpleasant odors.
Cheers!
