5 days ago my dog finally went into labor and spit out 10 puppies! Poor thing, lol. I would have posted this sooner but I have been way too busy to do anything online in the last few days. She had 7 females and 3 males. I already have 2 picked out for a couple of people and I am going to put an ad in the paper when they are ready. Anyone want one, lol? You should have seen how huge she was when she was pregnant. We were hoping that maybe they were just big puppies instead of a lot of them but we were wrong. The reason why we thought they were big was because the dad, our big male dog, is the father. This is not her first litter but it will be her last because I don't care if I have to go broke to get her fixed this time. I wish I would have had the money to get her fixed before but even with the help of the humane society we couldn't get the money together. They are so cute though but I already have 4 dogs so there is no way we can keep anymore. Has anyone else's dog had puppies and if so how many? :)

My dogs never had that much puppies. A maximum of 5 was what I have ever had. There are usually only three or four. How I wish we're near enough so I can have two or three. I love dogs, more so puppies. I can just imagine how cute those ten puppies look altogether. Puppies, by the way, are fast sellers in our place.

Well I now have 7 puppies left and they are eating puppy chow now. I buy 100 pounds of dog food every month and it only costs me about $20 for it so that's not too bad. I also have 4 big dogs and 8 cats. It is a little hard to feed them all but they never go hungry. Thanks for responding. :)

Years ago I went to the pound to get a dog and fell in love with a little dog that looked just like (Benji), from the movies, so I took her home and that's when I noticed she looked a bit too fat, turned out she was pregnant! Oh brother! Well any way Tandy as I called her had 13 puppies! The Vet called it a baker's dozen! What we couldn't figure out was some were part Lab, some were part Shepard, two were part St. Bernard and one little tiny one was a chawuwa (I can't spell it so here's what it was, a cha-wow-ah!!! All I can say is that she had to have been standing on a garbage can or something for dogs that big to get at her! The cha-wow-ah who got her didn't have a problem at all, I bet! Ha ha ha!! And believe it or not, Tandy didn't have any problems giving birth either, being the fact that some of the puppies were so big!

Thanks, lol. But they wear me out so bad. At night she goes into the room we have them in and wakes them up and then walks away. Well they know it's their mama and they want fed so I have to get up in the middle of the night because I can hear them screaming and I have to force her to feed them. The last litter she had used to wake me up too but they were much worse. She just does not want to feed them and I don't know what else to do except force her. I hate doing that but I have no choice. I just can't wait to find them homes and then she is getting fixed after that.
Once I get the pictures developed and get a new printer/scanner I will post pics. Thanks for responding. :)

The only time your dog will mate with another is if she is in heat. They usually go into heat every 6 months. That's when my dogs go into heat. To find out when your dog goes into heat you should talk to a veterinarian. Thanks for responding. :)

Hey you want one of mine? LOL! Just kidding. If you weren't too far away from me I would say come and take a couple off my hands for me, lol. Where are you from anyway? I live in Ohio. I have 7 puppies left. 5 females and 2 males left. Right now I have them outside even at night because the room we had them in is stinking real bad from where their going to the bathroom wherever they want. I have cleaned it out real good but I don't want them stinking it up again and it's warm enough outside for them. They sleep in their mother's dog box with her and there's a bunch of straw in there to keep them warm. Thanks for responding. :)

Hi,We bred Golden retrievers for years and our largest litter was 18 pups.Three were stillborn but she raised the 15 and did very well with them.At that time(80's)I was getting 350 and 400 for them so I was happy .
If you fix your male dog it usually cost less then to do the female, but then you have to keep your female shut in during her heats.
Have fun I remember those days of constant poops and walks and training pups sit, stay, come, heel. It was fun but so much work.

WOW 18 puppies. That had to hurt your poor dog. And I thought 10 was a lot, lol. Oh believe me I know about the constant things you have to put up with when you have puppies because this isn't her first litter. I am embarrassed to say that it is her 4th litter because we haven't had the money to get her fixed. I have always heard that the female can dye if she has more than 3 litters and we were trying to come up with the money to get her fixed before she got pregnant again because I was afraid she would die. It was too late though because she got pregnant again anyway. I am so thankful that she survived and I swear I will not let this happen again. As soon as she is done nursing she is getting fixed. My husband has to make an appointment ahead of time so he is calling soon. He doesn't want to get our male dog fixed and I think it will be better to get my females fixed. I have 2 female dogs I need to get fixed and 3 female cats and they will all be done really soon. Her first litter she had 8, her second she had 5 but one was stillborn, her third she had 8 and this one is 10 and the last, lol! Thanks for responding. :)
